PURPOSE:
Complete reporting system for
SLMAILNT (Seattle Labs) POP3 mail server software.
- User account summary
- User List with
passwords
- Mailbox files without
corresponding user
- Users which have NEVER
logged in and checked for email
- Date sensitive list
detailing users with mail on file which have
not checked for main since a specified date.
Report Input &
Setup
Most of the reports allow the user to specify a range
of dates. From and to dates for the reporting period
desired. Additionally, you may specify a range of
User ID codes ( both starting and ending. )
Simply taking the default would
print the entire data base from the first day of the
current year to the current date for all users.
User account summary
This report details the activity of the mail system
users. Starting and ending periods as well as
beginning and ending users may be specified.
The following is printed on this
report.
- User ID
- Number of connections during
specified dates
- The first date that the user
logged in checking mail
- The last date they checked
mail
- Mailbox File Date. If the user
has mail on file, then this column will have
the date associated with the last email that
was placed on file for the user
List User Passwords
This report is optional. Should you desire to have a
list of users and their passwords then this will do
the trick nicely.
Due to the sensitive nature of the
data, we have not provided a copy for your review.
Each clients record is presented on
one line. Starting with the clients ID, the password
and the users name.
Mailbox Files Without Users
Very unique situations can ( and does occur ). SLMAIL
does not delete the .MBX ( Actual mailbox file )
should you delete a user.
The situation could be that a user
decided to stop using your email services and asked
to have their account removed. SLMAIL deletes the
user but should the user have messages on file, the
user.mbx file remains forever.
This report details any .mbx file
that does not have a corresponding user. This assists
in general housekeeping functions and proper disk
management.
